Part-time & Full-time Ph.D

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who have completed a Master’s degree with no less than 55% marks from an UGC approved university is eligible to take up Ph.D program. Women or candidates who belong to SC/ST/OBC have an additional 5% relaxation in the overall marks required for meeting the eligibility criteria.

Steps Involved In Ph.D Selection Procedure

University announcement
The university will first announce the number of seats available for students who wish to do their Ph.D in that respective university.
Entrance exam
The candidate must first pass an entrance exam by The Research Entrance Aptitude Test (TREAT) and the interviews conducted by the Ph.D. Regulation of the University.
Selection Process
Candidates who score 50% marks for the entrance exam will be eligible for the Ph.D. The candidates have
M.Phil/NET/ UGCSIR/JRF/ GATE/ SLET/Teacher Fellow are not required to attend the written examination.
Research proposal
The topic that you have selected will be evaluated by the University. If the topic is acceptable, and not a repetition of previous topics, you are eligible for the next step.
Presentation
Candidates who are selected must showcase their research idea in a presentation before an esteemed committee. The way you present the idea is critical to the selection process.
Presentation review
If the committee thinks that you are contributing something new to the world of knowledge, they will accept your research proposal and grant you permission to do your Ph.D. under the university.
